Plus: a number of items from the Austrian Anschluss with Austrian and German stamps bearing propaganda and special slogan cachets and cancels; Hitler propaganda cards; and a few items from the Saar Plebiscite in 1935. Fresh, fine to very fine material, many scarce items, individual retail values to $100 or more. 2374 Estimate – GERMAN ALLIED OCCUPATION – BERLIN 2375 Pretty Airmail cover to USA with complete set of Mark high values. Tied by two strikes 10/4/48 ‘Berlin-Charlottenburg 2/ e’ cds plus Berlin Airlift machine slogan cancel. No receiver backstamp. A 2004 Hans-Dieter Schlegel/BPP Cert states ‘stamps, overprints and cancellation are genuine. Condition of the stamps is faultless.’ Makes for great exhibit piece! Interesting and varied group, many scarce items, includes Music Festivals, Military (1938 SA set of six cards plus original booklet), 'Danzig ist Deutsch' cards, Colonial Exhibition, Hitler's Birthday, 700th Anniversary of Berlin, Behring memorial cards and more. A few duplicates, but generally different commemorative postmarks. Many seldom seen multicolored cards. Very fine and attractive collection.
