$400
Strip of 4 of dull-gum Officials paying the 85¢ 4-ounce rate
(3¢ overpaid convenience franking) on address label stuck to
8½”x11" Aug 8, 1989, paper from Dillonvale, OH (Soil Conservation Service office). Loose end of right stamp confirms
variety. Because of the tiny printing of this type, the 22¢
dull-gum official has a unique shade and tagging footprint not
found on other stamps. Mint examples are very scarce and
only a tiny handful of covers have ever been found. Very fine
and rare. (2013 APS Cert #204443).
Green 2¢ entire with 10¢ Special Delivery affixed beside, tied
by three strikes 8/17 Minneapolis duplex cancels; 8/18 RPO
& 8/19 Brooklyn, NY, transit cds on back. Minor fault on
backflap from opening and faint file fold at right. Fine to very
fine. Cat $275.
