MINT never hinged, 40w faint gum bends, otherwise fresh, very fine set. Cat $585. 2098 $350 1946 FIRST REVENUE ISSUE 1s-50s, FULL PANES + SECOND ISSUE IN PAIRS ...................................... PH $10,000 First Revenue set of Liberated Korea in full panes of 100, the ONLY POSSIBLE COMPLETE SET. Issued August 1, 1946, the set includes four Japanese Taisho Revenues: 1s carmine, 3s violet, 5s orange brown and 50s pale blue, each with Hangul overprint ‘Government of Choson’ in black by the American Military Administration. Full panes of 100 for each stamp, with selvage & markings all around, imprint at bottom. The 50s is RARE and the key value in the set; the Japanese Revenue Catalogue lists as #21 but does not value it in mint condition. Some light colored pencil notations in selvage, full & fresh original gum, virtually all MINT never hinged with a couple minor disturbances, hardly any perf separations.
