Year-End Honors Armstrong Atlantic State Wins Presidents’ Academic Award UM’s Matsunaga, USCA’s Stiebinger Named Scholar-Athletes of the Year Armstrong Atlantic State Wins Third Straight Commissioner’s Cup HILTON HEAD, SC -- The Armstrong Atlantic State University athletic department was presented with their third consecutive PBC Commissioner’s Cup following the 2013-14 season at the league’s annual meetings in Hilton Head, S.C. Armstrong becomes the first program since Columbus State in 200508 to win three straight cups. The award is presented annually to the best overall athletic department in the conference, as determined by regular-season league standings. Armstrong captured PBC regular-season championships in volleyball and women’s tennis and was tied atop the league standings in men’s tennis. The Pirates also finished in the top three in women’s soccer, women’s basketball and softball. Armstrong accumulated 93.5 points out of a possible 129 due to them, a .7248 percentage.
