previous trips and captured the 2008 Southeast Regional to become the
first Peach Belt school to earn a berth in the Elite Eight.
The Pirates are led by four All-Conference performers this season,
led by senior and PBC Player of the Year Jessica Santaniello. Senior setter
Megan Pando was named the PBC Setter of the Year while senior middle
hitter Kristen Holmes currently leads the PBC and ranks fourth nationally
in hitting percentage. Junior outside hitter Stephanie Sfara was named
the PBC Tournament MVP.
The Pirates (30-1) are the No. 2 seed in the Southeast Region and
will face No. 7-seeded Newberry (18-12) in first-round action on Thursday, December 5, at Cuddy Arena on the campus of Wingate University.
Flagler is the #3 seed and will meet sixth-seeded Queens in the first
