Nestled in the Northern Valley, Old Tappan
is a quiet, family-friendly community. This
small community of almost 6,000 has its
own array of local businesses, including a
shopping plaza and an array of restaurants.
Numerous historic homes dot the local
landscape. The borough is a short drive away
from an ample number of county and state
parks, including the Palisades Interstate Park,
Tallman Mountain State Park and Pondside
Park. Older students attend Northern Valley
Regional High School.

ORADELL
Oradell has a classic small-town feel
with single-family homes surrounding its
contiguous Kinderkamack Road business
corridor, which it shares with neighboring
River Edge. Residents can take in a show
at the Little Firehouse Theatre – an old
firehouse converted to a playhouse – or
take a walk around the expansive Oradell
Reservoir, a slice of nature that provides
drinking water for Bergen and Hudson
counties. Kinderkamack Road is also home
to the historic and imposing Atwood-Blauvelt
Mansion.
