TOGETHER Stolfo and her
boyfriend, Matthew, live in the
same housing complex in Allendale.
Syndrome Day. This even led to
an appearance on WNBC New
York Nightly News with Chuck
Scarborough. In the speech, Stolfo
said, “When parents have children
like me they always worry about their
future. I am making my future now.
Even though I am differently-abled,
nothing has ever held me back from
making my dreams come true…I am
living proof that we can all grow and
develop no matter how differentlyabled we are. Let’s put our minds
together and build even more
independent futures – worldwide!”
An obvious inspiration to those in
the special needs community, Stolfo
has a lot to teach typically developing
individuals as well. The same rules
apply to everyone about living life to
the fullest. Her advice to everyone is:
“If you see someone that is disabled,
go to that person and help them.”
She adds, “Be happy and live life.” ❖
