Special Needs Programming
at the kaplen JCC on the Palisades
The Kaplen JCC on the Palisades provides comprehensive programming for
children, teens, and adults with special needs to grow, learn, and have fun.
Through our Guttenberg Center for Special Services, Therapeutic Nursery,
and Camp Tikvah, we offer more than 65 weekly and monthly programs for
individuals with developmental disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders as
well as developmental, learning and communication disorders. Mainstreaming
and inclusion opportunities are provided where appropriate.
Offerings include:

life skills, social skills and pre-vocational programs

therapeutic nursery specializing in language disorders,
emotional disturbances, learning disabilities, attention
deficits, or autistic behaviors

toddler socialization groups
•
art, cooking, music, dance and drama
•
swim, yoga, fitness and athletics

computers & ipads
•
community trips
•
academic enrichment
•
summer camps and more!
New participants require intake interview. JCC membership not required. The JCC is a
qualified provider of the NJ Department of Human Services Division Children & Families
(DCF)/Perform Care and the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). Payments are
accepted from other service agency providers as well as sending school districts.
