Pinot’s Palette 258 Newark St., Suite 300, Hoboken (551) 227-7278, pinotspalette.com/hoboken Owned by Jennifer DiPietro, a self-described former starving artist, this new Pinot’s Palette studio will offer guests a chance to paint their own masterpiece, drink wine and beer, and enjoy a relaxing and creative atmosphere of fun and conversation. To mesh with Hoboken, where 50,000 people call “one square mile” home, DiPietro found a space downtown in a new multi-purpose building called the Eureka. This is the first Pinot’s Palette location in the country that is not on ground level, but the third floor. The studio is BYOB for beer and wine to accommodate local liquor laws. And the space, private balcony with an additional shared balcony, seats up to 36 guests. In addition to public classes, the studio is available for private parties, fundraisers and corporate team-building events. Novice painters and rising artisans can get their creative juices flowing with the help of step-by-step instructions. Jennifer DiPietro, owner of Pinot’s Palette in Hoboken, says it’s not an “art class,” but an experience. “We are a party,” she says. “During the time spent in our studio our guests complete a masterpiece of their own, all while laughing with friends or their date, listening to music – and sometimes even singing along – and, of course, sipping some wine or champagne. “It is a fun night out, it is something that is different from the ‘norm,’” DiPietro adds. “It is a great way to unwind and release some creativity.”
