CHILD’S BEDROOM
ELLIOTT KAUFMAN PHOTOGRAPHY
This 11-year-old boy’s third floor bedroom has an agreeable mix
of both new and vintage pieces. The adjoining playroom has an
entire wall of built-in closets, in addition to an old military field
desk and a brown leather schoolhouse chair for homework
time. A large Eugene pendant light from Circa Lighting brightens up the play and work area. Laurie added a large photo of a
suspension bridge leading into a forest to give the room a
whimsy, tree house feel. At the base of the bed is a vintage
Army medical chest purchased at an antique store. Both rooms
are painted in Serena and Lily’s Warf, a warm gray-green color.
MASTER BATHROOM
The glossy, smooth floor of the master bathroom is made of
Walker Zanger Matouche crocodile porcelain tiles in dark brown,
which look and feel like leather underfoot. The double sink vanity features white Glassos countertops, a type of milky glass that
resembles marble. The rectangular Duravit bathtub and walk-in
shower both boast Kallista hardware in an oil-rubbed bronze
finish. The mirrors above the vanity allow for personal space
on both his and her side, and the center mirror opens into a
medicine cabinet. ◆
