“My new favorite restaurant over this past year is TRATTORIA CARPACCIO
in Englewood. It’s a very smart, and small, family-operated Italian
Restaurant. You don’t see Dover Sole on too many local menus, and
they had it, and it was prepared beautifully. They also offer a very nice
Whole Roasted Branzino, and their Vongole Gratinate (Baked Clams)
and Linguine Alle Vongole are first-rate. I tend to gravitate to the places
that are consistently tried and true. ZESTT in Tenafly is an oasis of calm,
and the food is very well-prepared. I particularly recommend the
Sesame Tuna appetizer, and Crab Cakes and Jumbo Shrimp. Simply
Vietnamese in Tenafly is a go-to place during cold weather for friend
and Pho. Their Steamed Dumplings are simply t he best. And I will never
be disappointed by BANGKOK GARDEN in Hackensack. Year after year
they extend hospitality and serve impeccable Thai food. I admire their
work-ethic, and the vivid flavors they put on every plate. And of course,
VARKA in Ramsay is the Parthenon of great Greek Food in Bergen
County.”
