Dude worked his horse well enough to qualify for the final workout of fourteen horses and then pulled out all the stops to cop the victory over the other hopefuls. Elmore Brock and MAJOR’S MARY POPPINS kept the pressure on Dude but could not quite claim the honor. Jimmy McConnell and SHAD OW'S MISS EBONY placed third, with the widely- known JUDGES' CHOICE and Albert Rowland coming in fourth. Dude and CARBON' COPY'S STAR will be a team to watch in the future.’ FINAL HORSE RIDER OWNER & ADDRESS 1. 752 2. 420 3. 620 4. 644 5. 93 6. 336 7 10 8. 889 9. 220 10. 1309 CARBON COPY'S STAR MAJOR S MARY POPPINS SHADOW S MISS EBONY JUDGPIS' CHOICE EBONY'S ELEGANCE COPY'S DANCER MIDNIGHT PRISSY HANDSHAKER'S DEBUTANTE SUN'S GYPSY PRINCESS ACE'S BETTY Dude Prestwood Elmore Brock Jimmy McConnell Albert Rowland Wallace Brandon Carlton Pitts C. The pre-show favorites. Donald Paschal and GO BOY S CHATTERBOX, could not hold off the upset bid of Bob Cherry and TIGER BAY as this fancy stallion captured the crowd's approval and the first-place award. CHAT TERBOX was not up to his best form but still had the ability to tie reserve, with J T. I.eech and MANOR GO BOY tying a disappointing third. Each of the first three horses received a first-place vote from one of the judges.
