Bobo was called to the center of the ring to be pre sented with "The Trainer Of The Year’’ Award. A group of Walking Horse trainers and owners met in Cullman, Alabama on July 16, 1969 and formed the Walking Horse Association of Alabama, Inc. Charter members of the Association are: Julian Bland; W. O. Crawford; Dr. Rogers Cox; Bud Dunn; L. M. "Red" Hilley; "Doc" Huey; Clay Parsons; Capt. E. A. Self; "Sonny" Southerland; Hershel Talley; George Witt; Lloyd Wood; and Bobby Young.
