Don Whittenburg, they manage to work eleven horses every evening for both amateur and open competition. Among the fine horses they have this year is SUN’S TROUBLE MAKER, a big-lick horse owned and shown by Judy Henry. She has shown him several times this year and, at the Etowah Horse Show in Tennes see, captured an impressive blue. Another amateur horse that is doing well is HILLBILLY, a fine black stallion owned and shown by Eddie Brown of Tyner, Tennessee. Denise Henry, their twelve-year-old daugh ter, is busy showing SIR HENRY’S LADY LEE with great success, and son David, a six-year-old, is win ning his share of lead-line classes. TTie Henry Stables is pleased with the progress of a two-year-old filly owned by Jim and Elaine Bartlett as well as MACK K’S SENSATION, a black amateur horse shown by the Bartletts. Walter Stack has an amateur gelding, MAC’S MERRY BOY; and Becky Woodeson of Chattanooga has a fine Pleasure Walker. With these, plus EBONY’S RHYTHM, a two-year-old stallion, and JET’S JUBILEE, a bay gelding, Wayne Henry and his staff of helpers have their hands full. We have been particularly pleased with the calibre of their stock and the manner in which they present them at horse shows. If you are ever in the East Ten nessee area, make it a point to drop by to see Wayne and his'friends. They can show you some pretty good stock . . . and you might even see a "diamond in the rough”! DONALD PASCHAL STABLES Donald Paschal and GO BOY’S CHATTERBOX will be heading for the big stake this year for Dr. C. L. Sexton. Donald tells us that he working greater than ever this year. Also for Dr. Sexton, Donald will be showing HANDSHAKER’S DELIGHT in the Junior Class. This is the horse that Doug Wolaver made such a great show with last year at the Celebration. Anytime you visit the Paschal Stables in Woodbury, Tennessee you will find Donald and Carlton Pitts working horses. They have a stable full and, along with standing last year’s World Champion GO BOY’S ROYAL HEIR, they run a busy establishment. They have already bred over 100 mares to ROYAL HEIR and have more coming in, with a very high percents age of mares in foal. In the two-year-old division they are working eight horses. One is a good bay SHADOW filly out of a SOCIETY MAN mare owned by Dr. Sexton that they may not show this year. Also for Dr. Sexton they have a black colt by ROYAL HEIR out of a MACK K mare. For Mr. Turner of Nolensville, Tennessee they will be showing a real good black filly by MID NIGHT ON PARADE K and a sorrel filly my MERRY GO BOY for Byron Rogers of Rogersville, Tennessee. Roy Delbridge of Gallatin has a long-necked colt by SPIRIT OF MIDNIGHT that is really fine. In the three-year-old division they’re working a SUN’S DELIGHT mare for Harold Spivey of Nash ville; a SUN’S DELIGHT mare for Dr. Carl Adams of Murfreesboro; a red roan by CARBON COPY for Mr. Nelms of Nashville; and a real good stallion by SUN’S DELIGHT for Uluos Allen of Franklin, Ky. For their four-year-old entry, Donald and Carlton are working a sorrel SUN’S DELIGHT mare for Mr. Allen in Kentucky that is working real good. In the aged competition will be a six-year-old SUN’S DELIGHT stallion for Mr. Dickell of Athens, Georgia, and a five-year-old stallion for Roy Delbridge. A top mare owned by Donald, TRIPLE TREAT, will be walk ing out of this stable and she does that every step of May, 1969 the way. She was reserve at the Celebration last year! JIMMY GRAY STABLES Down in Evans, Georgia, Jimmy Gray has twenty- two horses in training in his stable. One of the most talked-about horses that Jimmy has ever ridden is a three-year-old bay stallion by the late GO BOY’S LIM OUSINE owned by Eugene Youmans of Baxley. In the aged stallion classes Jimmy will show LIM OUSINE’S AGENT by GO BOY’S LIMOUSINE out of an old MERRY BOY mare. This is a top horse that has excellent conformation and is black. In the aged mare classes will be LIMOUSINE’S STARLIGHT, con sidered to be one of the top mares in the country, owned by Jimmy Elliott of Evans. An aged gelding competitor will be GO BOY’S VARIETY, owned by Variety Food Stores of Augusta. For Mrs. J. L. Dye of Augusta, a four-year-old black stallion out of a SHADOW mare just won the North Augusta junior class. Jimmy says he has several horses for sale that he and severa
