underway to start out this next year with the big
Burlington show and festival scheduled for June 13-14.
There will be a $500 stake and a three-judge system.
This show is under the direction of Mr. Ed Ashcraft, a
Contributing Editor for the VOICE of the Tennessee
Walking Horse.
News Flashes From The Area
Damon Dunaway appears to be aiming at the two-
year-old championship again with a real good colt,
and DELIGHT’S NITE CAP is going great as a Jun
ior horse this year.
We are all looking forward to showing with David
Welsh and enjoying his experience and ability in the
training world. David is now at Welsh-Lovett Stables
in Union, Kentucky.

This brought to a close the first year of the Ohio
Valley Walking Horse Association under the direction
of Ralph Lovett and Clint Byrd. These men directed
the two shows held by the Association and really set
a mark seldom equalled in exhibitors’ interest and
good fellowship. This organization has grown by leaps
and bounds and promises to be bigger and better in
the future. There have been 35 to 40 new members
