SUN'S ELIMINATOR SYNDICATED SUN’S ELIMINATOR ASSOCIATES—The proud new owners of SUN’S ELIMINATOR pose with their recently syndicated horse (L to R) John Smith, Robert Gallagher, SUN’S ELIMINATOR, David Welsh, Ralph Lovett and Henry Moore. SUN’S ELIMINATOR, a five-year- old sorrel stallion, was recently syn dicated by his owner, Ralph Lovett of Union, Kentucky. The syndicating group is made up of five horsemen from three states and is known as SUN’S ELIMINATOR ASSOCIATES. Twelve shares were issued on the horse with the total value of the shares reported as "a substantial five-figure amount.” Included in the contract were certain breeding rights and other privileges for the owners. Those who purchased an interest in the horse and the number of shares each owns is as follows: Robert Gal lagher, Wingate, North Carolina - 4 shares; John Smith, Florence, Ken tucky - 3 shares; Ralph Lovett, Un ion, Kentucky - 3 shares; Henry Moore, Monroe, Ohio - 1 share; and David Welsh, Union, Kentucky - 1 share. 60 SUN’S ELIMINATOR is showing in open competition this year and is being groomed for the World Grand Championship at the Celebration. He will remain in training at the Welsh- Lovett Stables in Union, Kentucky under the guidance of David Welsh, who has handled him the past two seasons. ELIMINATOR has been shown at a wide variety of shows this season and has six blue ribbons to his credit. David pointed out that his horse is a slow starter, usually getting progres sively better as the season moves along. Discussing the big stallion, Mr. Welsh said, "He has never been at his best early in the year and this season is no exception. How ever, he is beginning to come into his own and will be at his peak for the Celebration.” Last year was a highly successful season for this horse and David in junior competition. David and ELIM INATOR made 19 shows and won 16 blue ribbons. They were undefeated in their class until the Celebration, and tied fourth in the Junior Champ ionship Class. Following the Celebra tion, David and his horse attracted wide attention for their outstanding victory at the Baton Rouge show. This was one of the greatest per formances by this horse during his entire career. ELIMINATOR will make several more shows this season prior to his bid for the World Championship at the Celebration. He is a strong horse and has been shown extensively in each of his last two years. Syndicating horses is becoming more widespread in the Walking Horse business every year. The pro fessional manner in which this syn dication was handled is a tribute to all of those involved. Voice of the Tennessee Walking Horse
