One other note about MAN OF RHYTHM — we hear
that he has a few — but very great — weanlings in
Gainesville. Boyd says he is watching them with
great anticipation.
GEORGIA ASSOCIATION CONTINUES TO GROW
The July issue of the news bulletin of the Georgia
Walking Horse Exhibitors’ Association indicates that
the association is experiencing its best year to date.
They now have 208 members and continue to add new
enthusiasts daily.
The bulletin also pointed out that member shows of
their association will follow the rules and regulations
of the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’Association
insread of those of the American Horse Shows Assn.
Members were reminded to send in their points for
the various association awards prior to Saturday,
November 1, 1969.
CUMBERLAND VALLEY
The big red-and-gray van of Cumberland Valley
Walking Horse Stables was filled with horses when it
pulled into the grounds at the Quentin Riding Club
for the 18th Annual American Walking Horse Associ
ation School and Show. It went home a little heavier
— by 7 ribbons and a trophy — but no one com
plained a bit about the extra weight.
Charlie Mullins started the day right on Friday af
ternoon by winning the Junior Class with the out
standing four-year-old colt, GO GIRL’S MIDNIGHT
STAR, owned by Capitol Radio Communications, Inc.,
Lemoyne, Pennsylvania (Mr. and Mrs. Dale Hilde-
brandt). A consistent winner, this big black colt does
all three gaits just right, reflecting his MIDNIGHT
SUN and GO BOY breeding.
Two classes later, Charles took the blue in the
Three-Year-Old Class, showing a newcomer, BILLY
