JAMES ROWLAND TO MANAGE STALLION STABLES James Rowland of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, one of the top handlers of Tennessee Walking colts and last year’s manager of McFarlin Farms, has just recently joined ranks with one of the top breeding establish­ ments in Middle Tennessee. Stallion Stables has for years been part of the Vic Thompson horse activity and, while he will not take an active part in the breeding operation, Vic’s knowledge will remain as a great helping factor. Since James won his first blue ribbon in the early ’fifties, he has been a familiar face in colt classes in and around Middle Tennessee. He has so many rib­ bons to his credit from the Celebration alone that his record speaks for itself. Last year he became manager for McFarlin Stables in Murfreesboro and has done a commendable job there. For the 1969 season, Stallion Stables will stand the following stallions: RODGERS PERFECTION, SHAD­ OW’S REFLECTION, and MIDNIGHT SUN GLO 0.
