TWO STARS FROM THE LEONARD WILLIS STABLES ELDORADO, ILLINOIS Jim Pearl on ELDORADO’S BLACK LABEL, outstanding black aged mare, are shown winning the 1969 Illinois National Amateur Walking Horse Championship at the Illinois State Fair in Spring- field, III. This mare was also the Open Mare and Stake Champion at the Illinois Walking Horse Show held in Decatur, III. and the Amateur Champion at the Indiana Walking Horse Show in Wanamaker, Ind. ELDORADO’S BLACK LABEL is owned by Jim and Ryland Pearl of Carbondale and Anna, Illinois. CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT II, with Dr. Jack Cooley up, is pictured winning third place in the Amateur Stake at the Illinois State Fair. This three-year-old bay stallion by MIDNIGHT SUN has been a consistent winner in junior competition this year with blues at Pulaski, Illinois and the Illinois Walking Horse Show with trainer Leonard Willis riding. Look for him in amateur classes in 1970 with Dr. Cooley in the saddle and in junior classes ridden by Leonard Willis. CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT II is owned by Dr. and Mrs. Jack Cooley, Champaign, Illinois.
