ONE OF FOUR — Gregg Gochneaur is pictured re ceiving one of four blue ribbons he captured on the Florida Circuit with GREGG'S PERFECTION, one of the nation’s leading juvenile mounts. For several years the name of ''Gochneaur” has been well known throughout the Walking Horse bus iness. The senior member of the family, V. G. "Red” Gochneaur, has established himself as one of the most avid competitors in all areas of the horse business, and his son Gregg is obviously "following in his father’s footsteps," because he too loves to show Walking Horses. Young Mr. Gochneaur is taking steady aim this year on the Juvenile Champ ionship and a lot of people believe he has the horse to do it with . . . GREGG’S PERFECTION. GREGG’S PERFECTION Attracts Acclaim on Florida Circuit. Heads String of Top Winners for Fashion Two Twenty Stables. The Juvenile Class is one of the most hotly contested events at any horse show and 1969 should see the Finest crop ever. The recent Florida Circuit served warning that a lot of youngsters are eager to get started and they have been working their horses just as diligently as their elders. Outstanding at both Tampa and Winter Haven was Gregg Goch neaur on GREGG’S PERFECTION. This black gelding is well known to the horse show world. He was the 1968 Junior World Champion Geld ing and winner of many impressive blues throughout the season prior to the Celebration. Trainer Wallace Brandon, who showed him last year, relates that he is one of the Finest natural Walking Horses he has ever ridden, and his current trainer, Al bert Rowland, attests to this fact. Current plans call for the Fashion Two Twenty Stables — including GREGG’S PERFECTION — to be 4 campaigned on the Southwest Cir cuit and then to return to Ohio for both the Columbus and Cincinnati Horse Show's. They will then move to Tennessee to make several im portant shows prior to the Celebra tion in late August. No newcomer to the showring, Gregg Gochneaur enters the ring with determination and a keen eye. He is a natural horseman and has the ability to get the most out of his horse. This year, whenever he hits the gate, you will know him by his Homburg hat. This has become somewhat of a trademark with his father and it appears that Gregg will also become well known for his attire. GREGG’S PERFECTION is out of the great show mare, SHADOW’S BLAZE, and carries all of the Fine attributes of this outstanding and popular old show'ring favorite. He is a big, handsome horse with beauti ful conformation and is known for his head-shaking motion and smooth running walk. As the 1969 show season gets underway, watch for the Fashion Two Twenty Stables from Aurora, Ohio. If the competition is keen and the going is rough, you can bet that "Red” Gochneaur and son Gregg will be there. Trainer Albert Rowland has his hands full training the string of FTT stock and promises to make himself known in open classes. In addition to MR. F.T.T., the Fine Amateur horse ridden by Mr. Gochneaur, he will be working and showing such outstand ing stock as APRIL LOVE, MISTER REE, EBONY ROSE and MISS AUD- RY. When you see the Fashion Two Twenty Stables truck pull up to a show, be assured that the team of Gregg Gochneaur and GREGG’S PERFECTION will be ready to go. Watch for them in Juvenile Classes.
