Phoenix, Arizona — ending March 2, 1969
Phoenix, Arizona’s A to Z National Horse Show
ended on March 2, sending many of the exhibitors
back into the rain and mud of California. Some of
the stables were unable to return home due to road
and bridge wash-outs. The A to Z Show is consider
ed one of the best on the West Coast Circuit with a
beautiful arena under roof with two practice rings.
Each exhibitor received invitations to the many
social events, the animal zoo, and the Saturday
night exhibitors’ party complete with dining and
dancing.
Trainers, owners and exhibitors came through mud,
rain and wind from Michigan to California to par
ticipate in the Tennessee Walking Horse classes,
which were judged by Mr. Edward M. Teater, a
Standardbred man from Louisville, Kentucky.
