Sales Manager, and V. aitor Eisehc-id.President of file new corporation -.vliitli lufrodsieediheprotiuel The introduction of a new animal feed suppliment on the market is hardly news; however, the development of a new Equine Premix using a patented process is news. The newly organized firm. 40/to/One, Incorpor ated, is located in Chattanooga, Tennessee,^ and has offices in Knoxville and Plainfield, Illinois. The prin cipals of the new corporation are Walter M. Eischeid, President; Paul Birthisel, \'ice President: and H. T. Stansberry, Secretary-Treasurer. The development of the product, registered as 40/ to/One, is the result of over ten years of research in the area of animal nutrition. Extensive research ulti mately led to the discovery of Chelation, a process that coats metals or trace minerals with an organic substance and greatly increases the absorption of the minerals in an animal's system. The method is registered as the Miller Process and has patents in the United States and twelve foreign countries. The first product to be introduced under the brand name 40/to/0ne was formulated for horses. Mr. Walter Eischeid. in discussing the product, pointed out that eventually the company plans to have formulas pro cessed exclusively for all areas of animal and live stock use. Mr. Eischeid has been involved in the de velopment of this Chelation process since its discovery and his background in the dairy and cattle business as well as thoroughbred horses prompted him to set up 40/to/One, Incorporated. The specific formula for 40/to/One Equine Premix was outlined by Nutrition Service Associates, Bell- ville, Illinois, a nutritional consulting firm headed bv Mr. P. C. "Cope” Blaeuer and Mr. F. Gordon Reiners. Mr. Blaeuer, who is highly recognized in the area of animal nutrition with over thirty years' experience in the field, personally supervised the formulation of 40/to/One Equine Premix and states that it contains a superior balance of nutritional factors plus an ex clusive vitamin formula. This, plus the fact that the trace mineral content has been Chelated, makes this one of the most potent formulas ever introduced. Speaking of Nutritional Service Associates, Mr. Blaeuer further added that his firm has been directing experi mental research for years and have translated their findings into improved feeding programs in all areas of animal nutrition. They have recently set up equip ment enabling them to offer least cost ' computer- bed feed formulas. The new sales manager for 40/to/One is Mr. H. T. "Skip ' Stansberry ol Knoxville, Tennessee. Mr. Stans berry has several years’ background experience in the horse business and knows the field well. Before joining 40/to/One, Incorporated he was district sales representative for a home products company. He will maintain sales and distribution offices in Knoxville for 40/to/One products. The key man in the eventual marketing of a prod uct containing Chelated minerals under the 40/to/One brand name has been Mr. Paul Birthisel of Plainfield, Illinois. For several years Mr. Birthisel has been in volved in the refinement of the process, making pat ent applications and following up on the multitude of details that must be established to meet Federal requirements for such a process. In discussing the 40/to/One Equine Premix, Mr. Birthisel stated that "our next major project is to follow through on grants to several major universities which want to do exten sive research on our formula.” WARREN COUNTY HORSEMEN’S ASSN. 3rd ANNUAL HORSE SHOW ★ JULY 4th ★ COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS M c M innville , T ennessee Celebration 3 judge system will be used. 14 CLASSES $2000 PRIZE MONEY Plus Ribbons and Trophies. 4 Challenge Trophies CONTACT KENNETH CANTRELL Rt. 7 McMinnville, Tennessee VOICE SUBSCRIPTION RATES 1 Year...................................... 2 Years.................... 3 Years............... $ 6.00 11.00 15.00
