There was a total ol lour hundred and thirty-four horses entered and they showed to a tilled grandstand most ol the time. On Saturday night and Sunday afternoon the stands were packed as were the box >eats around the ring. It was a great show! There were many outstanding horses and prominent trainers and amateurs who exhibited their best at the California Celebration. The Barbara Worth Stables was among the top winners with six blues to its cred­ it. Trainer Bill Oaklord and his riders carried home some of the best including the Two-Year-Old, Park Pleasure Mare and Stake. California Bred Stake, Show Novice and -Juvenile Championship. Also in the winner's circle was Blue Ridge Ranch, with trainers Clenn Miller and Red Henson guiding their charges to five blues. Their big win was the Championship Stake Clas> but they were equally as proud of the Mare Class. Walking Studs and ticklings. Amateur Open and Stake, and the Ladies to Ride classes. Treated Pole Builders, Mr. and Mrs. Durham and daughters Kris and Darlene, who do their own train­ ing, look two impressive blues in the Park Pleasure Studs and (leldings and the Junior Park Pleasure classes. Also winning two blues was -John Kvans Clothiers, whose rider.- won the Aged Oelding Class and the TWHKA Medal Class. There were other out­ standing winners in several classes, and one win too impressive to overlook w as Ray Rhoads' victory in -Junior Walking Hors • iss for Mr. and Mrs. arold I’yron. Many people ■,ve worked hard for years to see the breed achieve he level of prominence that it now enjoys in this part ,he country but the big job is yet to come.
