Would vour Walking Horse breeding operation be

m° lon that has come up many times and we felt
a brief explanation of "syndication” in the horse
£. tLe« WQUld prove to be interesting and perhaps
mo "table for our readers with stallions. In brief, a
''syndicate” is an association of persons officially
authorized to undertake some duty or negotiate some
business. In this instance, that "business’ would be
the breeding of a stallion.
Syndication is not new to the horse business. It has
been successful for Thoroughbred stables lor many
years and recently has been established in other
areas of the horse business. What are the prospects
of syndication in the Walking Horse business and
what would be the strong points and weak points of
such a program?
