JUDGES FOR THE 1968 TENNESSEE
WALKING HORSE NATIONAL CELEBRATION
WALKING HORSE SADDLE JUDGES
CLARENCE GOODSON - From Galax, Virginia, Mr.
Goodson has been acquainted with horses since he
was a youngster. He has been active in various areas
of the horse business including the training, showing
and selling of top horses. His reputation in the horse
business reflects his ability to recognize top stock
and he has been considered a professional horseman
for over twenty-two years. He comes well-qualified as
a Judge for the 1968 show.
CLAUDE SHAW — An experienced Celebration Judge,
Mr. Shaw was used by the Celebration in 1959 and
again in 1962. His reputation as a judge is well-known
and he comes well-qualified for the 1968 show. From
Selma, Alabama, Claude is currently active as a pro
fessional trainer and has been a professional of high
calibre for many years. He comes from a family of
horsemen and has several kinsmen who are also cur
rently active as professionals, including twin brothers
from Middle Tennessee.
B. H. McCHESNEY- Born in Princeton, Kentucky,
and for years from New Orleans, Louisiana, B. H.
McChesney is considered by many to be one of the
real authorities on Tennessee Walking Horses. He
has been active in all areas of the Walking Horse
business and was at one time a Contributing Editor
of the old Walking Horse magazine published by Mr.
Jimmy Joe Murray. His horse activity has been a
real part of his life and he is highly regarded by the
many friends he has made in the business. Mr. Mc
Chesney is currently in the automobile business in
New Orleans. He can be relied upon to put his years
of experience to good use as a Celebration Judge.
The Judges for the other classes of the 1968 Cele
bration are: Breeders Open Foal Classes - Mr. Fulton
Frazier of Columbia, Tennessee; Mr. James L. Row
land, Rockvale, Tennessee and Mr. James L. Stam
mer of Lewisburg, Tennessee. Gaited Horse Classes -
Mr. Welch Greenwell of Shelbina, Missouri. Equitation-
Miss Nona Rutland of New Orleans, Louisiana.
