CIRCLE R STABLES Ronnie Spears of the Circle R Stables , West Point ,
Mississippi , started the season off in the right way . He won the Stallion & Gelding Class and the Championship stake at Winter Haven and Tampa Florida with GO BOY ’ S FLYING CLOUD for J . P . Eldndge ,

He has 36 horses in training with about 10 twoyear-olds . Ronnie has a SUN ’ S DELIGHT black stallion for Kenneth Robinson , a full brother to SILVER SHADOW ’ for Will C , Terry , a top GUNSMOKE bay stallion for Paul Thompson , Raleigh , Miss ., and a

Eldridge ; a SUN ’ S DE LIGHT horse for Kenneth Robinson ; a mare for Cliff Lirette , Thibodaux . Louisiana ; and a real good mare for C . N . Howell , Little Rock , Arkansas . He showed an age mare for Cliff and tied second in the mare class at W ’ inter Haven , and Linda DeShazo won the Ladies Class and tied second in the Amateur stake at Tampa . Her name is MACK K ’ S SUZETTE ( alias LADY LUCK ).
Ronnie won the Novice Class at Tampa with a SUN- DUST gelding for Pete Robinson that shows great potential .
Ronnie is one of our young W ’ alking Horse trainers that is really on the move . Be sure to watch for him and his good string of horses this season .
DONALD PASCHAL STABLES
10
Over in Woodbury , Tennessee , Donald Paschal and his assistant Carlton Pitts have a fine string of horses that are ready for the " gate to open .” They have been working hard all winter and it really shows up on their stock . Donald has several headliners that are destined to make a mark on the records this year The big talk at the present is the amazing comebark of GO BOY ’ S CHATTERBOX . This age stallion was purchased from Vic Thompson by Dr . C . L . Sexton of Florence , South Carolina , shortly after the Celebration last year . Donald worked him for us and we were truly pleased with his performance . He was working free and easy , with a small pair of boots , and he is clean as a whistle . Don ’ t take our word for this next statement ... go see for yourself ! CHATTERBOX has grown at least two or three inches since last vear and has put on over a hundred pounds . He doesn ’ t look like the same horse that we saw tie fourth at the Celebration . Whatever class he is shown in this year ... he will be a strong contender . ' Ji “
GO BOY ’ S ROYAL HEIR is still working to perfection after his World Championship Amateur last year . Candace Williams , who rode him last tory is looking forward to another season of showim / 651 ’ eral of their fine horses out of the Paschal Qf ! kS , ev

Captain and Mrs . Earl Self of Mobile , Alabama ar looking for great things from GO BOY ’ S BLACK ROOSTER , the 1967 Futurity Champion Two-Year-OIH with Carlton Pitts up , and a fine blue roan two-VPar old filly by BLACK JACK .
Donald is also well pleased with EBONY ’ S OLD CROW , the 1966 World Champion Two-Year-Old . He has grown and filled out considerably since last year and is doing very well . Don ’ t be at all surprised if he comes on a lot stronger than expected . He is much improved as a Junior horse , and owners Billy Hale and Hugh Gillen will be proud of him this year .
Another horse that is getting a lot of attention is a three-year-old chestnut mare named DELIGHTFUL DREAM . She is owned by Ed Hunter of Goodlettsville , Tennessee . They are looking for some top performances by her this year . Dr . C . C . Chitwood of LaFayette , Tennessee also has a top EBONY colt that is doing well . They are working thirty-six horses in the barn , including fourteen two-year-olds . Watch for the Donald Paschal Stables again this year . They are ready !
WALK-A-BY STABLES
Larry Lowman , a college student at M . T . S . U ., is working horses again this year and he has a partner named Steve Aymett . Together they manage to work six horses including WALK-A-BY GO BOY , a fine pony that Larry showed last year . They are pleased with the progress of ROYAL HEIR ’ S CRACKERBOX ( that ’ s right !), a top colt by GO BOY ’ S ROYAL HEIR that is owned by W . T . Vaughn of Nashville . Larry claims he will teach him to canter and show him in pony classes this year . SUN ’ S REPEAT , a five-yearold sorrel stallion , will also be shown by this " dynamic duo ” this year . He is owned by T . H . McCullom , Albany , Georgia .
They also have a horse named MIDNIGHT SUN SECOND , a bay three-year-old owned by Lowman
and Crockett , that is doing well . Jack Smith of Macon , Georgia also has a fine sorrel pony in training with
Larry and Steve . Watch for these two young fellows : they are going to make a mark in the Walking Horse business one of these days .
