At supper that evening , Lonny was trying to tell Helen how come it was that they had sold TIGER BAY foi fifty thousand dollars and that he didn ’ t get any money from anybody except Mr . Larson . “ Well ,” he said , the other three partners only owned one half of him and weie entitled to split twenty five thousand . Their opinion was that since they had said they wouldn ’ t take less than fifty
for him , that I should have asked for enough money to guarantee them their money and make a little profit for myself .” “ What about the commission for the other trainer ?,” Helen asked . “ Nothing was said about that at all , but I think he deserves some money from somebody .
At this point the phone rang . Lonny answered and was noticably shaken by the conversation . “ Wait a minute ,” Helen heard him say . “ You mean someone bought and paid for a new Cadillac and said to deliver it to me ! Who was it ?” Helen got up out of her chair when she heard this part of the conversation . ’’ What in the world ?” she said . Lonny just smiled and said , as he scratched his head , “ That Mr . Barrimore from Houston just bought us a new car .”

TEXAS BREEDERS ASSOCIATION HAS SUCCESSFUL MEETING
The Texas Walking Horse Breeders Association met recently at Sundown Stables , Garland , Texas . There were forty-five people in attendance .
Prior to the business meeting , Dub Ivins rode several good horses for the group starting with a fine three year old chestnut filly who will surely make a name for herself , TRIPLE THREAT ’ S GAL . The next meeting of the Texas Walking Horse Breeders Association will be Saturday , May 13 in Shreveport . Bill Hutson is in charge of arrangements . The meeting will be in conjunction with the Shreveport show . The topic of the meeting will be the Texas Futurity .

Breeders Association Schedules Annual Meeting for May 27
As .. has been the policy in the past , the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders Association of America will hold its annual membership meeting in Lewisburg , Tennessee , May 27 , 1967 . The annual affair will consist of a general meeting at the Association general offices in Lewisburg at which time election of officers for the new year will be the main order of business .
The 1967 meeting should be the best to be held in several years and interest indicates that a record number will be in attendance from all parts of the country . There are several major items of business which will probably come before the membership including plans for a new home office building to be built in Lewisburg . Another item of interest to the membership will be proposed plans for a national promotion program to be sponsored by the Association which will include a new movie film , a Four H Club project and many other items of importance for promotion of the Tennessee Walking Horse .
After the general meeting the Association will host the membership at a noon dinner at the county park . This has been a popular event in the past and is much appreciated by everyone .
The Lewisburg annual Lions Club Horse Show will pose a finale for the days activity as most people who come for the Association meeting usually stay for this fine Middle Tennessee Walking Horse Show to be held Saturday evening at 7:00 p . m .

INTERESTED OBSERVERS . These members of the Texas Walking Horse Breeders Association enjoyed watching Dub Ivins work some of his stock prior to a business meeting . Fortyfive people attended the meeting and interest in the Walking Horse continues to grow in the great state of Texas .
