The 6th Annual Rossville Kiwanis Club Horse Show has moved to larger and better grounds , according to Mr . Billy Robinson , Publicity Chairman for the show . Already established as one of the best Walking Horse Shows in the South , the Rossville , Georgia , show is taking shape as a major event this year as the show has been moved to the Rossville High School Football Field .
Located across the street from the old ring , the new grounds provide seating for 9,200 people and , if last years attendance is any indication as to local enthusiasm , they should have a capacity crowd . A Celebration size ring will be set up and the sod removed from the track area . Suitable track dirt will replace the grass and will be worked to provide perfect conditions for exhibiting horses . After the show , the grass will be replaced and the football field will suffer no ill effects .
The show last year attracted two hundred and four horses . This year they have added a Walking Pony Class to make a total of 14 major events for the afternoon and evening show . Always striving to make the show better , the Kiwanis Club will host an Exhibitors Buffet between the two shows . The afternoon show begins at 1:30 and the evening show at 7:00 p . m .
The announcer for the show will be Mr . Bob Jennings , well known television personality who is host for the Stoneman Family Show . Mrs .
