The Greater Cincinnati Charity Horse Show Features Top Walking Horses

The annual Greater Cincinnati Charity Horse Show was held May 4-7 . Ralph Lovett did a tremendous job as president . The honorable judge was Mr . H . H . ( Preach ) Fleming from Orlando , Florida . All of the Walking Horse classes were well filled with plenty of top horses .
MR . FASHION TWO TWENTY walked away with the championship for Mr . V . G . Gochneaur of the Fashion Two Twenty Stables of Aurora , Ohio . Coming in with a very close second was B . MAJOR ’ S ANNE , Bob McQuerry up for Triple T Stables , Lexington , Ky . A long way from home , David Welsh tied third on the good GO BOY ’ S REBEL O for Leeswood Farms , Oaks Cor : ners , N . Y .
Leading up to the championship , B . MAJOR ’ S ANNE won the mare class with Bob McQuerry up . Tommy Plott came in second on MY FAIR WARNING for White Star Farms , Canton , Ohio . Third place in this fine mare class went to CALICO ’ S QUEEN K , Willard Tenpenny riding for the Calico Farms of Cincinnati . The blue in the stallion and gelding class -was carried away
by RHYTHM RED FLASHER for the Kibler Farms of Mt . Orab , Ohio , Paul Whitehead riding . Reserve went
to Berry Coffee up on MR . TWIST for Frances Conrath . Third place went to White Star Farms ’ MR . SHOWMAN , Tommy Plott up .
The amateur championship class was one of excitement with MOONLIGHT SENSATION walking away with the blue for Mr . Forest Margrave of Union , Ky .
and I must say that he did an excellent job . Second and reserve amateur champion was MR . SENSATION , Mr . Melvin Dunaway , the owner , riding . Third place went to Mrs . Jacquie Kroll on WALKING MATILDA owned by the Calico Farms , Cincinnati , Ohio .
All of the amateur classes were good . Mr . V . G .
Gochneaur made a good show on this MR . FASHION TWO TWENTY to win the amateur stallion and gelding
class . Mr . Forest Margrave came in second on his good MOONLIGHT SENSATION , and third went to MR . SENSATION , owned and shown by Melvin Dunaway , Hamersville , Ohio , Nancie Escue did an outstanding job on her mare , MEET MIDNIGHT MERRY , to win the amateur mare class . Mrs . Jacquie Kroll came in second on WALKING MATILDA for the Calico Farms , and Julie Lovett and QUEEN OF DESTINY made a good show to tie for third .
SHADOW ’ S JET , in his usual good form , took the ladies class with owner Nancie Escue up from Hebron , Ky . Candy Gochneaur and her mare , FASHION LADY ,
made a good show tying second for the Fashion Two Twenty Cosmetics of Aurora , Ohio . Mrs . C . L . Lee , Leeswood Farms , Oaks Corners , N . Y ., came in third on SO­ CIETY SOUVENIR .
The Juveniles came out for a good class and Greg Gochneaur on his horse , ME AND MY SHADOW , walked on for top honors . Heidi Blakeland , up for Calico
Farms , tied second with WALKING MATILDA and Nancie Escue came in third on her SHADOW ’ S JET .
The Junior Walking Horse class for horses four years old and under showed what the youngsters could do — and do it they could ! DELIGHT ’ S PLAYBOY won this out-
