could hold his own in any competition. BIG SHOT was one of the few horses to win the coveted Mid-South Championship Award twice. Jimmy judged the Celebration twice, in 1959 and in 1960. During these same two years he was working SUM MER’S PRIDE for Mr. Pete Fisher of Jonestown, Mis sissippi. He also had LITTLE RED ROOSTER for Danny Stubbs. This Walking pony made a number of terrific shows in his day. HAPPY DAYS AGAIN and STELLA DALLAS were Jimmy’s two stake horses then, both owned by Mr. Charlie Maddox. MAGIC KNIGHT, formerly owned by Miss Mar jorie Gill, was trained by Jimmy. Marjorie won ladies1 classes all over the south with MAGIC KNIGHT and won two reserve championships at the Celebration with him in 1965. Marjorie and her gelding were practically un defeated during 1965 and 1966. Marjorie has a three- year-old full brother to MAGIC KNIGHT with Jimmy now. This beautiful black stallion, called MAGIC’S SPANISH KNIGHT, promises to be better than his older brother. In his first show SPANISH KNIGHT won the three-year-old class in Columbus with Jimmy in the saddle. MR. PETE’S SHADOW, owned by Mr. Pete Fisher, is a horse not to be forgotten, for he was World’s Cham pion Two-Year-Old Gelding in 1965 and World’s Cham pion Three-Year-Old Gelding in 1966. JOE MACADAMS is another professional-amateur combination horse. Jimmy worked and successfully showed this top stallion for Dr. Thurston Whitaker of Vicksburg, Mississippi, for nearly three years. Currently Jimmy has a barn full of top horses. NOR MAN’S GO YONDER, the three-year-old stud belong ing to Mr. Porter Norman of Covington, Tennessee, is the colt who has built such a reputation for himself. Sam Stockett of Jackson has his fine amateur mare, CLOWN’S EASTER BONNET, with Jimmy, and they have made some outstanding shows this summer. Jimmy is very proud of a two-year-old filly called POLLY’S SUNBEAM, who belongs to Mr. Pete Fisher. Mr. Charlie owns a mighty fine two-year-old, too, SUN’S DIXIE DELIGHT. CHARLIE’S ROYAL FLUSH is a big sorrel gelding that is shown by Jimmy in open classes. Mr. Maddox bought a sorrel stallion at Jimmy’s sale this past spring.
