It was a pleasure to watch you work. Both Joe Webb, and our friend Betty Sain, told us that you’d call them as you saw them, regardless of owners, stables or trainers. And, sir, you did. Actually, I feel that you elevated the whole quality and character of four show. You are a credit to your pro fession and to the great state of Tennessee. My family and I wanted, very much, to chat with you, your pretty wife and daughter. But, since we were show ing before you we didn’t feel that it was ethical to talk with you before the classes. Next time, we hope to meet your family. Doc and Gladys Young, old friends of nearly countless years, told us how much they enjoyed seeing you and swapping yarns about Tennessee and Kentucky. Cordially yours, John A. Evans V.P. Pac. Coast Walking Horse Ass’n. Dear Sir: The California Walking Horse Celebration was held last Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday, May 19-20-21 at the Carnation Ring in Pomona with the Very Honor able Judge Bobo from your great state officiating. This was by far, the best show I have had the privilege to witness and/or participate in ... in the State of California! Being a judge, breeder and exhibitor of the great and noble Tennessee Walking Horse, myself, I was especially impressed with the outstanding courage, skill and ability displayed by Judge Bobo. The people and State of Ten nessee can be justly proud, to have him represent them, as well as the Walking Horse Breed. Although we did not win some classes, we would have liked to, we felt the judging was honest and fair. Our entire Show Committee did an outstanding job, although there were some horses not permitted to show because of sore feet, the good sportsm anship displayed by all exhibitors was excellent! Yours truly, Clayton Robinson 3 103 AUGUST, 1967
