A MIDNIGHT BOMB filly coming two-vear-old and a SUN GLO two-year-old stallion have just started in training . They both have the breeding to make top horses . These two horses are owned by Mr . and Mrs . Charles Phillips of Yazoo City , Mississippi .
Willard May and the Robinwood Stables own a big , strong , loose , solid black colt of SIR MAU GREY breeding that has been in training and is showing some real walking ability . BEASLEY ’ S PIDDLY , a four-year-old mare , has not been in training long but is showing promise . With a little more work she should make owner Mr . and Mrs . E . M . Beasley of Jackson , Mississippi proud .

Leading much of the new interes in this area is the Chitwood Stables in Resaca , Georgia about ten miles from Calhoun , Georgia . Trainer Johi Young , working for Mr . and Mrs . Buford Chitwood , i working about fifteen horses and is in the process * o developing a top string for this part of the country .

KELLEY STABLES
North Mississippi has a new stable specializing in th training of amateur mounts . David Kelley , an outstandin young trainer , has recently opened a modern facility fc Walking Horse training in Houston , Mississippi .
A Celebration size show ring , plus many unique ant well-planned features , combine to make this stable a gooc place for training the kind of horses that can realh “ walk on .”
All people who live in this area and visitors alike arc urged to stop by and see this new stable .
WALK-A-FARM
Over in North Wilkesboro , Lewis Jenkins has a unique Walking Horse operation at his Walk-A-Farm . A new 12 stall barn , heated and air conditioned , has all the . facilities for training and caring for some of the top amateur horses in North Carolina . His trainer is James G . “ Whitcy ” Roberts who has worked under some of the best known trainers in the business .
With several members of the Jenkins family showing a different set of horses every other week , “ Whitey ” has his hands full training riders and horses . Some of their top horses are SUN ’ S TOP BRASS , SUN ’ S SENSATION , LITTLE EGYPT , GO BOY ’ S COPPER and a couple of surprises being readied for the Celebration .
The Jenkins family have won their share of top honors this year at shows in Morganton , Taylorsville , Hickory , Marshville , Dallas , High Point and Fayetteville .
VALLEY VIEW STABLES
Trainer Everett Majors informs us that he is no "' training at this new stable in Stuart , Virginia , owned ) James J . Joyce . It has a 24 stall barn and at present he is working 18 horses .
