HEART OF AMERICA WALKING HORSE ASSOCIATION HOLDS AWARDS DINNER
The Heart of America Walking Horse Association Annual Awards Dinner was held at Clinton , Missouri , on February 27 , 1966 . There were some 250 people present for the Awards . BRUCE SPENCER , Editor of the VOICE Magazine , was our guest speaker .
Awards for ten classes were given . One of the main features of the evening was the presentation of the Via-Natura Challenge Trophy by the Jensel-Salisbery Laboratories of Kansas City , Missouri . This company also presented the winner with a one-hundred-dollar check . The Trophy was won by HERBERT MOUSE of Adrian , Missouri , on his good horse Sun ’ s Rockaway Bomber . His total was 177 points . Mrs . WAL­ TON STANFILL of Amorette came in for Reserve Champion with 165 points with her Walking Pleasure Horse , Debbie . This trophy was presented by the Ford agency of Butler , Missouri . At this meeting BARCLAY BROCK was re-elected President . Other officers are : L . E . SMITH , Vice President ; and EILEEN RICHARDSON , Secretary and Treasurer . The new board members elected were L . E . SMITH , ED SAPPINGTON , RAY GREEN , CLIF­ FORD AUSTIN , and IVAN FRENCH . The membership voted to have their Official Show this year at Sedalia , Missouri . The Junior Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the classes . The awards were presented as follows :
