Wink Groover captured the first blue rib
bon of the 1965 Celebration with a strong
showing on his prize filly, Bel Aire's Merry
Me Wink worked his way to the head of
this seventy-horse class and walked off with
the top prize. Shadow's Country Girl and
Jack Moorman were near the top on all the
judges’ cards and placed second in the final
tally. Jimmy Waddell, no stranger to blue rib
bons in this class, guided Shadow's Blue
Angel to the yellow ribbon in this lar^e class
of two-year-olds. The first three horses in
this class were closely tied as each one had
a first place on one of the judge's cards.
This widespread judging emphasizes the num
ber of outstanding horses in this class.

WEANLING FILLIES. OF 1 96 5 FOAL
Ebony's Dream repeated her earlier victory
in the Futurity by sweeping the top spot in
this 43 co!t ciass. Shown by Bobby Beech,
this little filly showed many desirable quali
ties for a young colt. Sun Dixie Delight was
the judges’ second choice and promises to
have a bright future for owner A. E. McEwen.
Our Go Boy's Missy, owned by Beech and
Fulton, tied third and displayed her excellent
breeding. This class had some of the best
looking young fillies seen in a long time and
indicates a bright future for the breed.
