Wink Groover captured the first blue rib­ bon of the 1965 Celebration with a strong showing on his prize filly, Bel Aire's Merry Me Wink worked his way to the head of this seventy-horse class and walked off with the top prize. Shadow's Country Girl and Jack Moorman were near the top on all the judges’ cards and placed second in the final tally. Jimmy Waddell, no stranger to blue rib­ bons in this class, guided Shadow's Blue Angel to the yellow ribbon in this lar^e class of two-year-olds. The first three horses in this class were closely tied as each one had a first place on one of the judge's cards. OF 1 96 5 FOAL Ebony's Dream repeated her earlier victory in the Futurity by sweeping the top spot in this 43 co!t ciass. Shown by Bobby Beech, this little filly showed many desirable quali ties for a young colt. Sun Dixie Delight was the judges’ second choice and promises to have a bright future for owner A. E. McEwen. Our Go Boy's Missy, owned by Beech and Fulton, tied third and displayed her excellent breeding. This class had some of the best­ looking young fillies seen in a long time and indicates a bright future for the breed.
