I am pleased to announce that BILL CARRINGTON is now training for the Forest View Stables of Union , Ky . Bill , a college graduate , has been a fine horseman for a long time , as he has worked for ELMO BROCK and other top stables . Mr . and Mrs . FOREST MARGRAVE plan to have a new barn finished by November 1 for Bill to go to work in . They now have a few horses working with Bill and hope to have more soon . Moonlight Sensation , a fouryear-old bay stallion , seems to be working well . This horse was a good three-year-old , winning many blues in the junior classes . As a four-yearold he will be better than ever . Bill is working a two-year-old sorrel Major Wilson stallion , B . Major ’ s Boomerang , that is coming on strong . Major ’ s Miss Sue , a full sister to the two-year-old stallion , is a comingtwo-year-old filly . She will be ready to start to work soon . to this sale just to look and not buy . I really want to check the market and see just what a registered Tennessee Walking Horse brings . My major interest at the present is getting one for field trial use . From what I have seen here today , Walking Horses can be purchased reasonably for this use and appear to be the best suited for this .”
MR . A . O . MCDONALD , Desota , Kansas — " I am really interested in this breed . We own one registered filly that we use for pleasure riding . My ten-year-old daughter Julia loves Walking Horses and may show Walking Horses eventually . She has an interest in the 4H Club and the Light Horse project that they have . I have learned a lot about Walking Horses at this sale and will come back again next year and maybe buy a good horse .”
MR . JOHN AYRES , Oak Grove , Missouri — " Why am I here today ? We read about this sale . and heard about it from several sources . We have pleasure horses and have one going through the sale . The four horses we now have are all Walking Horses . I think this sale is a good thing and will do much to help the breed here . We are glad to see such a thing in Kansas City and hope to see it grow .”
MR . BILL DRAPER , Oklahoma City , Oklahoma — I am just an onlooker . We came with Rev . E E . REEP of Oklahoma . He has Tennessee Walking Horses and we are just now getting interested in them . So far we have been impressed with what we have seen . It ’ s too bad the weather didn ’ t cooperate . . . a lot more people would have probably shown up on a pretty day . By the way — we take the VOICE .”
MRS . WANDA CHESNEY , Siloam Springs , Arkansas — " We are here because we like the breed and are pleased that they are having this sale . Our general horse interest includes Walking Horses and we plan to buy several here . How did we learn about the sale ? We read about it in the VOICE .”
MR . RAYMOND THEIMER , Oklahoma City , Oklahoma — " We came here today to buy some horses . Been subscribing to your magazine for quite a while and figured this sale would be a good thing . We have only pleasure horses right now but sure would like to get some better stock sometime later . Prices ? They look pretty good to me except that I had the idea that pleasure horses cost a lot more than they are selling for here . I just wish I knew more about what to look for in a good colt . That is our problem out here . A lot of people want to buy good Walking Horses but really don ’ t know what to look for . How about doing something on that ?”
MR . WALT WILSON , Ames , Iowa — " We are looking for a good brood mare to breed to Midnight Secret . I think it is a good sale and sure am glad that they have finally given
