In all, they have 33 horses on the Circle 4 Horse Farm. Twelve of these are brood mares which started dropping colts March 10. Two of these mares were bred to Piddley. The rest of the mares were bred to Society’s Surprise. They are looking forward to a group of nice colts at Circle 4 this year. Visitors are always welcome at Circle 4 Stables. They invite you to come and see their modern two-hundred-foot stable and look over the string ofhorses in train ing as well as the colts and brood mares. They are located just two miles out of Cedartown on Sixth Street Road. COMMAND HILL FARM A recent letter from Mr. RAY FOGERTY of Medina, Texas in forms the VOICE that his Walk ing Horse Farm is in full swing and that they are pleased with the outcome of the past year’s breeding. Ray states that at present he has four good brood mares, 3 two-year-olds (one stal lion and two fillies), and one filly and two horse colts that are year lings. He also has a gelding and, of course, their prize stallion - Secret Command. Ray has the basic material with which he can build a good Walking Horse oper ation. We are pleased that he is doing so well. is making into a fine show filly. She s a great little mare in every respect. Also from this talent-rich sta ble comes a jetblack three-year- old mare that will thrill your heart with every lick she hits. Fred has her to perfection. He held her out of the show ring last year with anticipation. Fred also has a topnotch four-year-old stal lion ready and waiting for the stake classes. This big airy chestnut won countless ribbons last year. Fred rolls out the red carpet to everyone who visits him. You are always welcome, whether you’ve come to visit or to buy, so take time to visit the stables located in the bend of the Cumberland River on River- view Farms. BEL AIRE STABLES A recent trip to Calhoun, Geor gia to the Bel Aire Stables of ROY and BONNY DAVIS gave indication that these folks want to get back into the blue ribbon bracket as soon as possible. Trainer HAROLD KENNEDY recently went to work as trainer- manager here and is in the pro cess of taking stock of the horses they now have. Both Roy and Bonny have been in the Walking Horse business for a long time and have had some of the best stock around. Harold is making excellent progress with several outstanding prospects, among which is Go Boy’s Super Sport, a five-year-old full brother to Go Boy ’s Invasion and Go Boy’s High Mack. This is a big sorrel horse with plenty of speed and determination. With the famous Kennedy "touch,” this horse should put the pressure on a lot of top horses. Still outstanding at Bel Aire Stables is Son of Bel Aire, the Amateur horse that Roy Davis shows, and Bel Aire’s First Son, shown by Roy’s son, BILLY DAVIS. Harold has several good two-year-old prospects that he is bringing along slowly, as well as some good Junior prospects. NATIONAL TENNESSEE WALKING HORSE SPRING JUBILEE FRED BRAKE STABLES Those of you who have not visited the FRED BRAKE Sta bles in Madison, Tennessee are surely missing a treat. Fred has some of the finest young show horses in Middle Tennessee. One of the finest three-year-old stallions that we have seen this year is Sun’s Blue Boy. This striking blue roan, with just a little more polish on his canter, will be ready to meet all comers. Fred has a jetblack two-year-old mare by Piddley out of a Merry Boy mare. She is just out of this world and looks like a champion in every way. Sun’s Taffy is a name you will be hearing many times this show season.
