CLASS 54 - TWO-YEAR .
Bringing together the best three year Walking Horses seen in several years , the Junior Championship Class saw GUNSMOKE ' S SUN walk his way into the World ' s Title . Buddy Hugh , riding in his usual determined manner , made an excellent show with the black stallion to win it on all three cards . GO BOY ’ S STAR FIRE B , the 1963 World Champion Two Year Old , with Doug Wolaver up was tied second on all three cards . George Witt , making a strong bid on DUSTY ’ S BEST CHANCE was third with a number three spot on the cards . This class was full of potential Grand Champions and they were not hard to spot .

CLASS 56 - WALKING PONY CHAMPIONSHIP STAKE , 58 ” AND UNDER
" Little Horses with a great big lick ” . . . That is about the size of it when the Walking Pony Championship hit the gate . Jimmy Ellis , making his final bid as a juvenile rider , rode his SUN ’ S GLORY BOY to win the hard fought class . Close behind jimmy in ambition and performance was Ray Beech , a strong contender in his own right , who tied second on LITTLE BIT O ’ TROUBLE . Ray was more than a " little bit of trouble at times ”. SIR HENRY ' S ECHO , the 1963 Worlds Champion Pony , came in third with Chuck Chitwood making a good show of it .
