orders in an impatient way. All of the young folks at the barn are making cakes and cookies for him and he is getting a lot of attention, but Dixie wants to ride, ride, ride! We all hope he will be back in the ring before long. Drop him a line and say hello; it will help him pass the time faster. The Greater Birmingham Horse Show sponsored by the Trail Rid ers was held July 24 and 25 at the Alabama State Fair grounds. The Trail Riders had gone to a lot of trouble to build a ring in the In dustrial Arts Building and the show was held indoors for the first time. Mr. J. H. Noblin judged the walking horses doing his usual ex cellent job. All classes were well filled with fine horses and I think we can mark up the show as a big success. The Bibb County Service League sponsored its second annual Bibb County Horse Show in Centreville, August 1st. In spite of a downpour just before show time, the classes were held as planned and every body had a real good time. Mrs. Jack Crouch served as chairman and Clyde Orton from Caruthers- ville, Mo., did a good job in judg ing all classes. Horses from all over Alabama were there and the girls in the Service League should be commended for the good job they did in putting on this show. Our congratulations to Mr. Her- shell Talley for a job well done at the Celebration. We are proud to say he is from Alabama.
