some twenty-five acres in the Big
Sandy River Valley, four miles
from Paintsville, Kentucky. Walk­
ing Horses are definitely a family
activity for the busy physician, his
charming wife, and their three

all of the advantages of growing up
“close to nature” — and close to
good horses.
For a while Dr. and Mrs. Powell
operated a training stable; recently
they have decided to concentrate
upon a private breeding establish­
ment on their farm. They are now
in the process of assembling a band

others, they own one of the two
living full sisters to MIDNIGHT
BEAU and the only full sister to
SUN’S DELIGHT. This latter mare
will soon be sent to Harlinsdale to
be bred to MIDNIGHT BEAU, thus
