In the Amateur-Owner Stallion Class SUN’S CELEBRATION and Joe Wright placed first and Judith Holmes riding THE MIDNIGHT BONNEVILLE were reserve. The Junior Walking Champion­ ship Stake came on Sunday after­ noon and a much awaited Class it was. GUNSMOKE’S SON as mag­ nificent as ever put on a show few will forget. Buddy Hugh & “SON” really deserved the silver and the blue. Second only to “SON” was GO BOY’S CRIMSON TIDE and Wink Groover did a mighty fine job of riding him. Third was Frank Parnell’s MESHACH expertly rid­ den by Jimmy Waddell. Fourth to GO BOY’S CHATTERBOX; Fifth to MERRY SECRET; Sixth to COLORADO ANN; Seventh to SENSATION IN BLUE; and Eighth to INTRUDER.
