Currently active in many phases of Walking Horse activity , Mr . Burgess judged the 1963 Silver Anniversary Breeders Futurity at the Celebration last year . He has judged the Celebration and has been an amateur trainer and exhibitor for years . He is looked on by many as one of the “ Patron Saints ” of the Tennessee Walking Horse in the great state of Arkansas . With such active and dedicated people as Mr . and Mrs . E . L . Burgess supporting the breed over the years it is no wonder that the Tennessee Walking Horse is now the nation ’ s greatest horse for show and pleasure .
