The horse, a 5- year-old black roan stallion, was pur chased during the Celebration by Ross M. Hart, Beaverton, Oregon, from Atlanta horseman Pat Kimborough and will be shipped to the coast by rail October 10th. Mr. Paschal will fly out on Oct. 20th in time to get the horse ready for the show. STORMY MIDNIGPIT will be stabled perma nently on the west coast and should be a welcome addition to Walking Horse activity in that area. Vamp is in Wartrace, Tenn. in train ing under the watchful eye of Mr. Paul Smith. All of their other stock was in pasture and from what we have been able to gather, it won’t be long until they have one of the outstanding breeder farms in the State of Florida. A meeting of the Florida Walking Horse Association was held in Shelby- ville, Tennessee during the Celebra tion. While in Florida, I was happy to learn that two members of the Florida Walking Horse Association won rib bons in the Lexington, Kentucky Jun ior League show. First and the Blue was awarded to Mrs. Paul Randolph of Clearwater on May Madness while Tune Richey of Miami Springs. Florida took fifth.
