Second on all three cards was TRIPLE THREAT, ridden by veteran showman, Harold Ken­ nedy in a prefarmance that definitely gained many backers for his horse and the up­ coming championship. Third was SPIRIT OF MIDNIGHT, shown by trainer Steve Hill who received the nod from the judges and a sixth place spot by the referee. Fourth went to bold-going MACK K’s BIG STORY with Buddy Kirby up.
