Voice of the Tennessee Walking Horse 13 'Sfers Of 1963 Shine In Striking Chattanooga Pilot Club Show Prospective bright stars of the Ten­ nessee Walking Horse World for 1963 were projected into the spotlight of competition Saturday night, April 27, at the Chattanooga Pilot Club Charity Horse Show before a cheering indoor audience of some 2,000 men, women and children. Seventy-eight entries competed in the seven Fast Walking Horse classes. Scoring a double victory that surely jruts him among the early front-run­ ners for top competition is Shadow’s Hotshot, owned by Mr. and Mrs. Alan Shedd of Rt. 2 Winnsboro, S.C., with Charlie Martin of McFarlin Stables, Murfreesboro, Tenn. in the saddle. Hotshot Look both the Walking Stal- lions-Geldings class for 4 years old and over, then repeated in the Walking Plorse Championship where the purse was SI20 with a fine trophy. Consistently Shown For First Time It was a scintillating season-opener for this son of Go Boy’s Shadow out of Merry Hotshot. This horse is to be shown consistently this season for the first time. On the indications of his April 27 display of speed and stamina, the black stallion should be a factor to deal with all season long. Mr. Shedd is a timber dealer in Winnsboro and a relative newcomer to the Walking Horse ownership field. Sharing the 4-year-old and over focus with professional riders up was the World’s Champion Mare of 1961 —Beloved Belinda—who swept cheers of the crowd and the nod of the judge, Rex Watts, Hudson, N.C. Belinda took the Walking Mare class and proved that as a 6-year-okl she looks faster and better than -when she won the championship at the 1961 Celebra­ tion as a 4-year old.
