Adams St., Peoria, 111., says: “we have been a great admirer of yours since reading your fine book ‘The Biography of the Tennessee Walking Horse’ and so were delighted to see the full page advertisement of your new publications in the Celebra tion program.’’ (We are happy to get such reports. We believe in advertis ing all the way—and have patronized the Celebration program and Blue Ribbon regularly since before the Biography appeared. BAG.) 3 Dentist Making Walker Friends Dr. Sidney Gilbert, 1350 W. Mar ket St., Akron 13, O., writes that he attended the Celebration because of what the Voice Editor said to the Buckeye Walking Horse Assn, when it met at Tallmadge, O. “Because of your visit, I attended my first Cele bration this year and all I can say it was the greatest event I ever wit nessed and with the Lord’s help, I will never miss another." Dr. Gilbert, a dentist, recently bought two Tennessee Walking Horses. He formerly owned gaitecl horses. “In my little way, I am making my patients enthusiasts of the Tennessee Walking Horse. I have had a very successful year as a neophyte with the breed, as my gelding, Sun’s Dark Squire, won 4 blues and was always in the ribbons in the Central Ohio Circuit. So I have all my trophies and ribbons on display in my office. I am always describing the Walking Horse and his gaits. "This makes everyone curious and I am always describing the Walking Horse and his gaits. As a result of this, I find more and more of my patients attending the shows as spec tators. Of course, this is only the beginning. “Sooner or later, many of these people will be buying their own horses.” (Right you are, Doctor. Nothing beats enthusiastic word-of-mouth pro moting for any product, including the Tennessee Walking Horse. I know your method will be effective. You Buckeyes really have the spirit—and I was convinced of that at the Tall madge meeting. Am mighty glad if what I said influenced you to come to the Celebration—and that you will pass it on to others for next year and later. BAG.) Tennessee Walking Horses Member TWHB&E Assn.
