Voice of the Tennessee Walking Horse 25 $3,650 In Prizes For Walking Horses In Texas Fair Show Walking Horses will play a pro­ minent role in the State Fair of Texas Horse Show Series I, scheduled Oct. 5-9, in the new S2 million State Fair Coliseum at Dallas—advertised in this issue of the Voice. There will be 15 Walking Horse classes with prize money totalling S3,- 650; five halter classes for Tennessee Walking Horses; and three Walking Horse Seat classes. Walking Horse events are scheduled for all night programs at the coliseum. Robert IT. Burris of Franklin, Tenn. will judge all Walking Horse events. O'Neill Howell of Memphis, Tenn. is announcer for the Series I Show. R. L. Thornton is president of the State Fair of Texas; J. Glenn Turner is one of the vice-presidents and is chairman of the Coliseum Horse Show Commit­ tee. Entries should be received by Sept. II but post entries are allowed “if sufficient reason is given."
