AIRWORLD AVIATION MUSEUM

The Airworld Aviation Museum is based on a former RAF airfield near Caernarfon
Airport, Llandwrog. The museum was established in 1988 and is run as a Charitable
Trust. It displays a range of aircrafts and gives information on the history of the RAF in
North Wales from 1943.
The museum is run by David Lane and a team of dedicated volunteers. It is a treasure
trove of planes and there is lots of information about the exhibits and the history.
As you walk round the museum you can see a collection of 300 aircraft and boat models
all built by Richard Huelin. There is also a movie playing which shows you the lovely
views of the area as you were flying overhead.
Visitors and aspiring aviator photographers may take as many photographs as they wish
and are welcome to climb aboard the aircraft’s that are on display.
David Lane and his staff are very welcoming and are on hand to answer any question
you may have.
