By December, the city of Morgan
Hill will open three new downtown
parks:
• Nob Hill Trail Park, below the
water tank, where the slide is
located;
• Downtown Creek Park, located
west of the creek at the base of
Nob Hill between Second and
Third Streets, where the bridge
is located; and
• Railroad Park at the corner of
Depot and Third Streets near
the train station.
The new parks are part of an
invigorated Morgan Hill downtown
that is changing at lightning speed.
The Rotary club’s gift was
made possible through the Ro-
tary Club of Morgan Hill Endow-
ment, which makes so many of the
Rotarians stand on the bridge they funded as part of the Park Project.

profit that began in 1992 with the gift
of a house from the estate of a local
family. Tax deductible donations from
individuals, families, trusts, foundations,
corporations and fundraising events have
helped build the endowment. Every
year the interest and dividends from the
gifts are used to serve the needs of the
community.
Respected and knowledgeable local
Rotarians serve on the board of directors
that oversees the fund and maximizes
the use of every dollar. These unpaid

directors have held administrative
expenses to less than one percent, thus
returning 99 percent for philanthropic
good.
The club has been able to do its work
for the community because the commu-
nity has believed and invested in Rotary.
