UCC French Society aims to promote all aspects of French culture in order to make you fall in love with France as much as us . Our friendly members will welcome you all year long . Most of our committee has already lived in France and as such , we will be able to share a genuine French experience together . However , do not be mistaken , whether you ’ re a novice French speaker , an avid Francophone or simply interested in spending some valuable time around a few crêpes ; everyone is welcome . We have weekly events ranging from conversation classes , movie screenings , food
tastings , cultural talks , Erasmus nights , cooking classes to maybe bigger trips and adventures … Joining the French society will give you opportunities to practice your French in a fun and relaxed way while building friendships with French students . The French society also plays a big part in organizing the Languages Ball which is one of the highlights of the year . We are closely bonded to all other languages societies and we will do collaborations to bring all students interested in foreign cultures together . FRIENDS OF MSF
UCC Friends of MSF represents the international humanitarian organisation Médecins Sans Frontières ( Doctors Without Borders ) on campus . The society is for every student in UCC , we have an expanding membership from all four colleges of UCC : Arts , Celtic Studies and Social Science ; Business and Law ; Medicine and Health ; and Science , Engineering and Food Science . Everyone is welcome ! UCC Friends of MSF Society is an official part of the international organisation and responsible for actively raising awareness of the organisation ’ s campaigns as well as fundraising for MSF ’ s projects in over 60 countries worldwide . We hold exciting interactive campaigns on campus , on social media and beyond as well as regular fundraising through original , fun and social events . There is no better time to join this society ! UCC Friends of MSF Society was awarded UCC Society of the Year 2015-2016 among many other awards in the last academic year .
