EUROPA
Europa aims to increase awareness of European issues
and encourage engagement, debate & understanding of
the role of the EU. Europe is an ever-changing political
and social landscape, and we believe it is important
to have plenty of debate and discussion on campus on
European issues that affect all of our lives. Our events
range from political to cultural, and we aim to have
something for everyone - whether that is a debate, a
language night or a celebration of European food. Over
the past couple of years,

we have had events that ranged from a full day conference
on the European Union and its role in the lives of young
Irish people, to an evening of European food and
Eurovision songs. UCC is very lucky to have a diverse
student body, and we have students from all across the
European Union studying on our campus. Europa aims
to create intercultural awareness and understanding
through our events, as well as make people aware of
the opportunities they have as EU students, such as the
Erasmus + programme.

FASHION
If you have an interest in anything to do with style,
creativity or fashion, then you will be warmly welcomed
into the Fashion Soc! It is a society that celebrates
and encourages uniqueness, while striving for all the
people involved in the Society to have a voice. It is
a really great opportunity to work with people with
similar interests, and it also allows you to get a taste of
the fashion industry. Each year we work extremely hard
to try and top the previous years achievements

and so with that in mind, all incoming first years will
all have an equal opportunity to play a part in our
society. We encourage all aspects of fashion including
journalism, design, photography and event planning,
and we also hope to host a series of events and guest
speakers during the coming year. So whether you are a
budding designer or just a fashion admirer, come join
us and see what you can bring to the Fashion Society.
